Available now (11/3/20) is this shiny red 1985 Jeep CJ7 originally from California and never subjected to road salt.
It has paperwork showing a new 258 crate engine about $10k miles ago. It got a new clutch and the Howeel EFI kit. It has a newer radiator, power steering and power brakes.
The odometer was unfortunatly just changed by the previous owner as he didn't realize I have OEM fuel gauges. Nice stereo. All gauges work.
Newer reclining seats, matchine locking center console, and oem Renegade steering wheel
Rear seat is original and has a decent matching cover over it.
Floors are professionally lined to protect them and be more useable than oem painted floor...not to hid patches. Will show you how I know they aren't patched in following photos
Clean underside....dusty desert dry. No undercoating.
Newer springs, shackles and bushings on OEM wheels showing minor rust as they are 35 year old chrome. Tires are ok 31x10.50r15.
This Jeep could be a lot more expensive but somewhere in its ownership, probably in California, it got a VERY inexpensive paint job. This happens a lot out there due to sun fading and single stage paint.
The spot welds are all evident showing a never rusted, clean, not wrecked body. The frame is imaculate and still factory black.
It does however have dirt in the paint, poor flatness and even a few fisheyes. I always hear from people they don't want a "fully restored show Jeep" for more money.
This Cj7 is a great value for the right person.
This Jeep will be good enough for someone to enjoy and maybe repaint another day...or not. It will not be ok for the collector who wants to polish a to good to be true trophy $15k never rusted CJ.
I do not want to sell this to anyone who would be unhappy with it. It looks good from about 15 feet and ok up close in some places and terrible in others. You need to know who you are if you aren't going to come see this in person.
It will come with the shown top OR a nice clean tan top as shown here. I personally like the tan one as it matches the seats but whichever.
Thanks for reading!
