CARFAX SHOWS 38,424 in 1992 and 45,526 in 2015
THIS MAKES SENSE AS THE 2ND OWNER SAYS HE NEVER SAW THE ORIGINAL OWNER DRIVE IT
NO WRECKS
Perfect interior (dash seats even the steering wheel has new like texture).
PASSENGER AND BACK SEAT SEEM UN-USED
I haven't seem oem floor mats in a long time and maybe never this nice (all 4). That's a 30 year old floor mat!
Original un-cracked dash with no tire shine on it. It just looks that nice.
Original wealthy owner had it painted (same color) when it was brand new. Paint is more reflective than common paint but shows wear from being 30 years old. This is NOT a restored Jeep.
Notice how clearly you can see my Gladiator 20 feet away without me trying to show it.
All OEM spot welds are prominet. Remember, a CJ should not be smooth sided. A smotth one has been patched or at least slicked by a body shop.
Original everything....other than wear items like tires, exhaust. No modifications.
That is the original Goodyear Wrangler spare tire. I have a matching BFG if you prefer.
All 5 wheels are original with their correct center caps
It runs and drives and feels like a 46k mile Jeep should. It is quiet and smooth with oem parts and not restored w low quality parts.
The below is a photo of the original AMC upper radiator hose. It's isn't super hard or mushy like it is going to burst. This is a further testiment to the easy life this last of the CJs has had. One of the biggest challenges about CJs after rust is cobbling of repairs. People have done awful things to Jeeps over the years personalizing them, trail repairs and amtuer maintenance. To find something that isn't hacked up is more rare than the mileage. I alwasy see advertisements saying "all original" or "unmolested". The truth is that very few people know what original is any longer.
I would encourage you to use this Jeep and my 12k mile Jeep as the measuring stick against all those other unmolested, unmodified original Jeeps.
Simple original underhood photo without used car lot tire shine. It looks like it should in true original form
Clean original floors with NO Rhino lining. Surface rust where there's anything.
Underside is clean without flaky rust. The original owner covered this Jeep with something that resembles cosmoline. Like the paint when new, I've never seen this coating on a vehicle. It is better than undercoating as it didn't dry out, sag and then hold moisture to cause rust like the Ziebart products did. It can be wiped off with a solvent as I did under the hood in places.
This owner knew what he was doing in preserving this machine.
Thanks for looking.
