This is a very rare clean metal Jeep Scrambler right from the desert of Tucson Arizona.
This Jeep has none of the bubbling rust or rust repair that all the Midwestern Jeeps Have.
The frame is still black with ZERO rot or rust issues.
The windshield frame is original. No rust holes.
No bubbling rust on the body. Has some scale in the middle topside of the bed but the underside is clean as could be as the photos show.
It is a 6 cylinder 5 speed and hasn't been driven since 2008 as it was a tour Jeep when the company went out of business and parked it. There were 12 of these Jeeps and one of my past customers reviewed them all in person and deemed this best one of the bunch as many had considerable rot and trail abuse where this one does not.
We just started it today and it fired easily on new fuel. The upgraded carb needs rebuilt as it was dumping too much fuel surely from dry gaskets. It carried good oil pressure and maintained coolant temp. It does have an oil leak. It shifted through the gears on the lift well excepting slow into 5th gear. 4wd works fine. All lights work and the brakes feel good. I
I removed the custom cage that was in it and it comes with a factory roll bar as shown. I have bulkheads and a half top available for extra as this Jeep came to me with neither.
This is a great bones for a restoration or builder for a toy. I expect it to run and drive once a battery is added and the fuel is changed.
I will also sell the body tub off this Jeep for $3000. Frame $1000 but I truly discourage you from saving another Jeep that needs these things instead of taking all of this as having built many, many cjs, this is a better start than anything from anywhere except the desert. Other sheet metal and parts available for discussion.
or only $5500 for the complete rig and title.
This is a way better start than buying something with a rotted frame and bondo filled body.
Clean Black frame where most Scramblers have giant holes or at least rot
Shiny metal on the differential where the paint and primer have been sandblasted off. This came from a non salt, very dry climate.
That differential tube is raw bare shiny steel. Unheard of anywhere but the desert....or you can pay similar money for a rotted one. I assure you the bolts will come off of this CJ without a torch. It is so much easier rebuilding a desert Jeep.
