SOLD 10/27/22
6 cyl and a T5 manual transmission.
$37,500 as shown. All tops and doors available
This Laredo originally from Arizona has never been rusty and has all its original floors and paint on the floors and dash. I had the Jeep itself painted by a local pro due to fading on the original paint that was nearly 40 years old. New Phoenix decals re-applied.
It has all the original Jeep and Laredo specific things that the Chinese don't make like:
The original chrome front bumper (instead of the Chinese stainless knock off). A Rudys USA made frame cover (I have more of those available to sell) , 5 oem chrome wheels, OEM chrome grill overlay, leather steering wheel and grab bar, side steps, seats, carpet, roll bar padding, bumperettes, windshield frame (not a common Chinese replacement), working oem clock and oem tach with tilt steering. Trac Loc rear differential , center console, rocker trim, seat belts, power steering and brakes w a 20 gallon fuel tank. Pswew...
Back to the windshield frame....So 1983 and up Jeep Cjs have one horizontal tapered rib at the bottom. 83 and down have a smooth front. Why am I sharing this? Well, its the first place a Jeep rusts and the Chinese windshield frames are as bad as their body tubs.
There's some company selling hyped $100k junk to elite consumers being duped into thinking they bought something special. Start with good metal and the rest of it is straightforward if you want value in your Jeep.
Original very rare seats had minor reupholstery and look very goodl. Original rare Laredo roll bar padding is quite nice for being 38 years old.
So most CJs were sold to the dealers without Jeep branded radios as AMC charged too much and the dealer could put thier own in for less from Kmart. This one has a very rare JEEP branded AM FM cassette radio in it with seemingly original speakers....and of course thats the only thing on the entire Jeep not working properly. The radio comes on but the dial rubber band or whatever is broke...DRATS! But at least the dash isn't cut.
It is clean underneath without undercoating or rattle cans to touch it up.
All I hear from everyone anymore is how they want an unmolested ALL original CJ...well, this is pretty close and 500% better than a "restored" Jeep full of crappy Crown and Omix Chinese replacement parts.
This good running 6 cylinder still has all its emissions in place, factory air cleaner and fresh air snorkle and heat riser tube. The T5 overdrive manual transmission and Dana 300 work like they should.
I'm sorry someone before me replaced the super awesome factory plastic valve cover with one that doesn't leak though... Man that is a nice looking frame cover... I have more of those available to sell
Well, thats the gist of it. Comes as shown for $37,500. I can add different tops and doors but as I always say...If I need a top and doors on a CJ, I'd rather drive something else. Fun toys...terrible cars.
This Jeep has a small lift on it and like new 33" tires. If that is way too fun, cool, or big for you, I can knock it down to stock springs and new BFGs or whatever other tire you want for free in an afternoon.
My advice, don't hesitate. If you have the funds and like this, it's money in the bank as the prices keep going up.
Thank you to all and let's please be nice to one another. This is a great country and we need to find common ground and some peace.
