SOLD 11/9/13
This is a stock and mostly original paint fully unrestored, fully stock suspensioned 1984 Jeep CJ7 from the desert West with only 89k original miles on the 6 digit odometer. The 1981 and older CJs only had 5 digit odometers so people often misrepresent the mileage of them.
This Jeep comes with a towbar and therefore the mileage is probably less than shown.
This Jeep has a strong running 6 cylinder with power steering and power brakes. The best 4 speed manual transmission and transfer case of the era both working as they should.
20 gallon fuel tank
Tilt steering.
Has Air conditioning but it hasn't been used in years and will at least need a charge.
I mention it is mostly original paint. The hood and passenger fender have been painted but not due to rust. Almost surely a fun trail incident as this Jeep came from a big game hunting ranch out west! :)
The paint has expected defects after 30 years and is not rotted as only orignal paint can show you.
The orignal floors shine very well as shown excpeting a few small pinholes in the driver's floor where dirt was held. These pinholes can probably be welded shut without replacement but you can see the pictures as to how small of an area this is.
The frame on this Jeep is still black from the factory with zero rot now or ever.
The fenderwells of this Jeep are still white from the factory.
Nice seats. (rear seat also good and only removed for the photos to show how clean the floors are).
Tires and exhaust aren't very good but are useable.
I've been getting lots of requests for cheaper Jeeps so here it is without us taking it to the next level. Drive it now and enjoy it and maybe restore it as you go or just keep it up. Either way it is twice the Jeep anything from this side of the country is without all the flaky rust and rot. Don't be fooled by shiny paint full of patches and bondo.
Thanks for reading!
