The most requested CJ7 ever is available now. Last half year 1986 CJ7 with the coveted Dana 44 rear differential, Laredo, Automatic, Rot Free and in a color other than black! And then as a kicker... only 46k original miles.
I've owned this Jeep twice. It is originally from California and I sold in in person to an Ohio gentleman who looked at it for about 2 minutes before he said he wold take it. He barely used it in Columbus, Ohio and then to Florida where he was downsizing a home and had no room for it and I bought it back.
It has its original Laredo seats in great original shape...
Original very nice Leather wrapped steering wheel and grab bar and uncracked dash pad with all working gauges, clock, tach, 6 digit odometer and gauges... OEM uncracked center console asw
ell. Original visors with lable.
As mentioned...no rot. Check out the primer on this untouched original driver floor... Weird how just a few pictures in and I'm showing off the floor and not the shiny exterior. Some glam dealers have 100 photos and a video that sounds like a boat...that doesn't show me what I need to see. Just talked to a guy who went and looked at a shiny Jeep. He looked under it and said it was barely held onto the rotted frame... Notice the original decals on the kick panel decals. I'm showing you what is imprtant to me when I buy a Jeep. Figure it might be important to you
Underside not touched up photos. factory black frame..W Dana 44. (sorry there isn't better light...I'll do these pictures again)
Engine pictures. Very clean w a Weber and HEI. It starts well and runs right for a carbed vehicle. If anyone is turned off by the lack of originality under the hood...I have a very large bin full of original bad ideas you can reinstall as pictured.
Above is the snake pit of extraneous wires, vacuum hoses and antiquated computer of 1986 AMC's best effort to pass smog.
Below///more photos of the outside. The wheels are original and have most of their original clearcoat...yes, AMC clearcoated their chrome wheels. These will shine brighter with the clearcoat removed (done with paint stripper) but they ore only original once. Tires, power steering, power brakes are good.
Original chrome bumper, bumperettes, grill overlay and spare tire.
I'd like to say this Jeep is all original paint but with close inspection I can tell there was some paint work on the front of it. I have reason to think this was towed early in its life so perhaps that is why. It has a Clean Car-Fax. Most of this Jeep is original paint. It is not perfect but it mostly original and way nicer than it should be...but correct for the miles.
Original Owners manual
The only real thing to mention with the exterior that is visible via phot is that at the boxed area under the windshield frame on both side of the Jeep it had CB antannae mounts and the small holes are now tastefully pluged...as shown
Rear photos added just for symetry...
Really nice original collectable CJ...Has tilt column, Factory 20 Gallon fuel tank and oem side steps.
Thank you for looking!
