I've had literally hundreds of the nicest Jeep CJs in the world and I've never had one like this
Clean Jeep CJs hold their value. Own it, use it, sell it, get most your money back, maybe it costs you a little, maybe you make a bit but it will NOT depricatie like anything newer.
If you follow my site you know I buy a lot of my Jeeps back when people are ready to move on to the next collectabile thing. I love to get my Jeeps back because i already know they are uncommonly good.
I sold this rot free Arizona Jeep CJ7 about 5 years ago to a meticulous local man with a 1/4 mile long blacktop driveway.
He told me he put a snowplow on it and inside my gut sort of turned as i tried to keep my face from saying what I was thinking which was "how could you do that to such a nice rare piece of equipment"
It is the last half year of the Jeep CJ with a rot free original body and factory black frame. It has the rare Dana 44 rear differential and best HD 4 speed (T-176).
He stopped into my shop last week from literally 2 miles away chatting he was thinking about selling so I went to look at it as usually my Jeeps come from 2000 miles away.
I bought it promplty.
It has still never been in road salt. Snow and rain is not the enemy, carpet with negligent owners and road & sea salt kills a Jeep. Yes, packed mud is also bad but most the surviving original CJs are past that.
He used the Jeep on his personal drive only in the Winter and removed the plow for Summertime fun. That is how I would use it too.
This is a great Jeep to keep at the woods cabin or to deal with your own drive and then cruise the streets in the Summer.
It is purpose built:
It has an improved ignition far better than the original
It has a properly installed carb with manual choke for simplistic everytime starting
It has an overkill hydroboost power braking system at an expense of about $1000. It is better than the best original power brakes.
It has a plug in hot water preheater for cold winter days. Plug it in the night before and the Jeep starts with heat already to go
Air shocks at all four corners for snowplow weight or no snowplow weight.
Top of the line like new Blizzak tires with maximum siping for ultimate snow and wet traction.
The windshield lights are better than any plow lights and stay with the Jeep when the plow is removed in the Summer.
The rear back up lights come on automatically when the plow is placed in reverse for safe all weather backing.
The appropriatly sized Western Plow has been powdercoated, re decaled and of course is power up, down, left and right.
The Jeep itself is super clean with good paint and has never had any patches.
It has the highly sought after factory CJ monogramed high back seats and original rear.
A Sony stereo is in the dash.
The 4 speed is the best put in a widetrac CJ as is the Dana 44.
The Dana 300 transfer case is always up to the task.
The engine runs like it shoud and it also drives properly.
It comes as shown with several different hard doors available for extra. I literally have 3 sets of black doors for you to choose from with varying expense. (The Jeep was originally sold to me and him with no top and doors from Arizona)
I personally do not love the steering wheel he chose but can put an original one back on easily.
I will sell this Jeep without the plow for $1000 less.
No hard top for $500 less.
I know transporting a Jeep with a plow can be difficult so I can help if need be.
Thank you for reading.
