This original West coast CJ7 Laredo was in original faded paint when I got it. Zero rot or rust to repair. This CJ market is so muddy these days people don't know to look for original windshield frames like mine. Crappy replacement tubs that half fit and flimsy fenders being sold on Jeeps more expensive than this makes me sad. I can't save everyone from buying overpriced rusty junk but you can save yourself w this one.
I disassembled this original body and had it blasted to bare metal and then professionally resprayed w an oem color top and bottom. Check out the underside and wheel well photos! I degreased the chassis and topcoated it with a durable chassis paint. I reassembled the body w new bushings. The front bumper was chromed locally is is better than new. It is not a knock off stainless piece. I resealed the heater box w a new heater core.
The 258 engine, T5 manual transmission have been previously gone thru and work as they should. Upgrades include a JEEP stamped valve cover to seal and look better, an HEI distributor to start better and a rebuilt carb by my local shop to run better (way better than doing it yourself or buying one from the parts store or ebay). 20 gallon oem fuel tank, power steering, power brakes, undehood light, OEM leather steering wheel and grab bar. Correct decals reapplied.
It is riding on 5 new 33" USA made Cooper tires made right here in Findlay, Ohio on original Jeep CJ 15x7 Chrome rims w center caps. The differentials have been previously gone thru and regeared to 4.10 (trac loc in the rear) to help it move like it should and upgraded to one piece rear axles. Most lifted Jeeps and sluggish as regearing is expensive so people don't do it. This said I know many people want their Jeeps as boring and original as possible.
I will reduce the price of this Jeep by $2500, if you'd prefer new 31" tires, stock suspension and factory geared differentials. I think the Jeep is perfect the way it is but it would be yours, have it your way, just don't tell Burger King I said that.
The seats are gorgeous and look just as good or better in person. They are oem and redone by my local shop using original seats and stripes.
Of course everything works and it drives as it should.
Comes as shown.
