1983 Black always rot Free Jeep CJ7 Laredo

Great cabin Jeep w upgraded EFI.  The fuel injection  makes it more reliable for a low use fun vehicle.  Carburetors tend to gum up w fuel when sitting and make a fun toy a non starting or poor running hassle.

Classic black 83 Jeep CJ7 Laredo originally from Texas and AZ.

No salt.  No rot.  No patching.  Original Texas sales invoice shown in pics and included along with original manuals etc.  Many service receipts also included from Arizona as well

I received this with good original black paint and no rot with less than expected blemishes for its age.  I had it painted and then re-decaled it correctly.  

It has a very good running 258 engine w upgraded EFI and ignition.

Better than original:  Originally this came with a multitude of flawed, complicated 80's era emissions.  It now has a simple tried and true Howell fuel injection kit for ease of use and more reliability.  No guessing how many times to pump it or if its flooded.  This also makes it more compatible with todays fuel. Ethanol clogs carbs and breaks down rubber fuel lines.

The ignition on this CJ has been upgraded with the most expensive DUI brand HEI distributor that produces about 50% more spark than stock for quicker starts.  It simplified the entire machine with a vast reduction in wires and components to fail. 

Manual or Automatic (you decide)

It is a factory automatic so everyone in the family can drive it or if you have bad knees or just prefer it.  For no charge I can convert this to a T5 manual transmission as if the factory did it with zero non stock modifications.  I keep a rebuilt T5 in stock just for this reason.   I don't know of anyone else in the country who offers this.  It takes 2 or 3 days of interrupted work...yes, interrupted as I am a sole proprietor and am plenty busy selling parts as well.

Factory options: It has tilt steering, tach,clock, power steering, power brakes, Trac Loc rear differential, 20 gallon oversize factory tank and all the original rare Laredo things the Chinese don't make...like wheels *those are 42 year old chrome wheels looking that good) , chrome front bumper and rear bumperettes,  rocker trim, Leather steering wheel and leather grab bar, console, seats and more.  Even the steps OEM and not the crappy Key brand part knock offs recently being imported.

Of course everything works...lights, oem gauges, even the AC (for now).  It is very original and won't go forever but it does have a more modern refrigerant.  It can be updated w new hoses and seals but seems foolish as most people buy my Jeeps topless to enjoy them.  Generally a CJ with a top is a bad car and a safer motorcycle experience without top and doors

OEM Laredo Interior in very nice 40 year old condition.  OEM console  Uncommon oem Jeep 2 post AM/FM Cassette w auto reverse.  Since this came from Texas I'm thinking Garth Brooks No fences or maybe something better like Chris Ledeux looping endlessly back in the day.  That said, it's a looking at radio and even has the original tired speakers behind the dash.

Jeep is low mileage for 42 years old @ 95k w clean Carfax in Photos.  That said, per the previous owner, the actual mileage is less than shown due to a bad fuel gauge issue along the way but it cannot be documented so the mileage shown is higher than actual.  The condition of the seats tells that tale of the low mileage as they are not torn or recovered originals. 

This Jeep is the same size as all my personal Jeeps and has a small best practice bolt on lift kit to accommodate the beefier than stock tires.  Its riding on near new 33x10.50 r15 BFG ATs on VERY nice oem wheels.  This lift has wider front springs than original for more stability and better spring hangers than the factory used. 

OPTION

 I'd like to have this lift for one of my Jeeps as it is of very high quality if you don't want it.  I will reduce the cost of this Jeep by $1000 if  you want stock springs w new bushings and new tires of your choice.  For what it's worth, lifting a CJ is NOT MOLESTING it.   CJ lift kits bolt on and therefore also unbolt!  

This Jeep comes as shown but all tops and doors are available.
