1984 TX Jeep CJ7 w Hardtop & Hard Doors $22,500 8/28/25

1984 Jeep CJ7 Rot Free All Original Metal

1984 White always rot Free Jeep CJ7 8/27/2025 $22,500 or $20,000 without the top and doors.

This is another Jeep I bought back from a past customer after he was done using it...or more specifically, internal domestic negotiations in his household and lack of garage space led to it needing to be sold. (he got a new truck and the wife wanted to park inside the garage)

This is a driver quality, rot free Cj7 with a lesser budget in mind due to it having an older driver quality paint job done no doubt due to fading , 41 years of existence and being towed.

I got this from Texas a few years ago and it is a rot free CJ7.  The frame is still black.  In the photo gallery of the passenger side rear wheel well is a common thing seen in my shop.  Residue from a factory placed sticker from 1984.  You don't see that in crusty Midwest, Southern or East Coast Cjs.  The wheel wells are still VERY nice factory white original paint from 1984.

The most important part of the purchase is the body.  All the time I hear from people who got a deal.  It runs but I need a tub, windshield frame, fenders ...and a frame.   Did you really get a deal?  All aftermarket metal is junk and engines are rebuildable (even though 6 cylinder outlast most).  Frames are expensive and a lot of work.  You then need a gas tanks and all brake and fuel lines.   Its endless.  Start with something good and end with something good.

It has a VERY nice not cheaply built rear step bumper/tow bar on the back.  It wraps around and protects the Jeep and is a better hitch than they ever came with from the factory.  It can be unbolted if you would never pull a jet ski, utility trailer etc.

Everything works.  All lights, original gauges, controls etc.  One caveat is the OEM clock still works but the adjustment rod is gone.  All gauges are original and not Chinese replacements.  Uncracked dash pad.  Rhino lined floor is better than paint as it suffocates the metal and prevents rust.  The underside of this Jeep shows no welding or undercoating to hide metal work.  In fact, I would undercoat this Jeep if I was going to be a long time owner to help preserve it (and not do the wheel wells because they look so nice). Nice JEEP branded floor contoured mats

The 6 cylinder 258 is quiet and runs well with no puddling of fluids.  The engine bay has been simplified from the flawed 80s emissions to a Weber carb and HEI distributor and Cast aluminum valve cover.  Exhaust is quiet and good.  Odometer shows 130k but miles are less than shown as this Jeep was towed and has attachment points and tow wiring. (easily removed).  The odometers turn racking up tow miles as these are flat towed.  Most my Western Jeeps spent time behind a motorhome etc going to do fun things in fun places.

The auto trans is original and works just like it should  Everyone in the household can drive this!  As an option to the buyer...

I can change this to a rebuilt T5 manual transmission for a fee in such a way that you would never know it didn't come that way from the factory.  I have all oem parts to do the job.  It requires no, cutting welding, splicing etc.

This Jeep was loaded with options with a tilt steering column, Factory Tach and Clock, Trac loc rear differential, underhood light, intermittent wipers, Power steering, hard top and hard doors.  Best available differential gears of 3.31 with trac loc (factory limited slip) as mentioned

    Comes with original owners manual!

5 new tires on original wheels w center caps.

This Jeep is a great value and was in fact a Laredo from the factory if someday you feel a need to sticker it up but it is a perfect collectable the way it is with a 95th percentile quality metal.

Overall I feel this is a very nice driver quality CJ that most people would be very proud to own.

Please call for any questions or to just make this one yours.  I know I have a lot of nice Jeeps but trust me, they are getting harder and harder to find.

    Thank you!
